With six concerts and six paper presentations in two days, as well as record high participation, the event was a rousing success! A great deal of thanks go to my colleagues and students at the Greatbatch School of Music, Houghton College.

The Wordless Book, a piano suite in four movements, was recently selected for performance at the 2013 International Conference of the College Music Society. The work was one of only 11 pieces selected by blind committee review from over 200 submissions. The conference was held in beautiful Buenos Aires, Argentina and the work was peformed by my beautiful and talented wife, Carrie Blythe Davies, for whom it was composed. It was a wonderful conference attended by great people and I was honored to be among them.
Presentation at University of Notre Dame
In the fall of 2012 I was honored to have been invited to give a presentation on my music at the innagural conference of Graduate Sacred Music program at the University of Notre Dame. The presentation focused on the challenges of bridging the expectation gap between art and functional sacred music and used my work O the Depth as illustration. The keynote speaker at the conference was none other than renowned Scottish composer James MacMillan.
